I was once that guy, but now I'm not, though I guess I could still be that guy.

Sitcom Moments

without comments

So, I figure this must happen to everyone, you're going through your normal boring life when all the sudden something happens and you think this would be where the laugh track, melodramatic music, or something like that would kick on if your life where a sitcom.

I had one of these moments last night. I was helping A (the wife) make our bed and we were talking about whose ebay purchase would arrive first; I said her order would, because I had seen that the person selling had an actual website/store. She asked if I was sure and I told her when I had observed this fact. Then I went on to brag saying "See. I notice things sometimes." At which point I promptly walked into the corner of the bed, trip a little and exclaim "Ow!" This is where the laugh track should have kicked in. Anyway it was just one of those times I noticed it, with my son talking non-stop anymore these moments seem to come up more and more.

They always say a adding a baby in a show kills it, so I suggest adding toddlers, mispronunciations are funny. I need to dig up that video of my son saying frog for you all.

New Year’s, What???

without comments

Resolutions??? What are those? To be quite honest I'm not sure that I've ever made a New Year's resolution. Oh wait, I did I did, a long time ago I thought the idea was absurd and made a resolution to never make resolutions. I've stuck to it too.

But there is the nagging underlying paradox of making a resolution to not make resolutions. This resolution in itself would be making a resolution thus bringing about the undoing of your very resolution. I'm going to stop thinking about this now, before things get worse. Thanks a lot Scott now I need an aspirin.
